Bartone and Jans take Race 1 in Mercedes-AMG GT3

Le Mans, France, (June 12, 2025) - Anthony Bartone (Miami, Fla.) and Steve Jans (Luxembourg) triumphed in today's opening Le Mans Cup race at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, delivering a masterclass performance during the 24 Hours of Le Mans support weekend.

Jans began the 55-minute race from tenth on the grid in the No. 14 Bartone Bros. Racing with GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3. After navigating an early caution period, the Luxembourg driver launched a spectacular charge through the field, climbing to third position before handing over to Bartone on Lap 7.

The GetSpeed crew executed a flawless pit stop, maintaining their top-three position during the driver change. Bartone then took command of the distinctive black Mercedes-AMG GT3 – featuring the team's signature skull and crossbones livery – and mounted a relentless attack making up nearly 20-seconds to take lead. The American made a series of decisive passes to claim the lead and ultimately secure victory.

"Qualifying was chaotic," Bartone recounted. "Steve didn't get a clean lap in, and I only just crossed the line about three seconds before the red flag came out. We ultimately got lined up based on our Free Practice 1 time."

"Steve made an incredible start from tenth - he's one of the strongest drivers in his classification. I have complete confidence in his ability with these cars. By the first lap he was up to sixth, and after the safety car period, he gained three more positions. The GetSpeed crew executed a perfect pit stop and driver exchange, which got me out cleanly."

"I found my rhythm immediately and worked my way to the front," Bartone continued. "There was a significant deficit to overcome, but I managed the traffic well - making passes for second and eventually taking the lead. This is a tremendous team victory for Steve, me, and everyone at GetSpeed."

"Special thanks to my father Tony for his unwavering support, to Steve for that phenomenal start, and to the GetSpeed team for giving us such a competitive Mercedes-AMG GT3."*

The team will take a day to celebrate, regroup and prepare for Race 2 at Le Mans which will run Saturday at 4:25 AM ET.

The team would like to thank sponsors Red Line Synthetic Oil, Roger Dean Chevrolet, Talon Air, LLC, and Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed.
